Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

At Silver Bay Seafoods, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment at the start of each shift and report any damage or defects.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts, audits, and reporting of shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate shipments, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience as a Warehouse Forklift Operator, including proficiency in operating diverse types of forklift equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License, required for potential transportation or delivery tasks.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced factory or warehouse environment is advantageous.
Competencies:
  • Organizational skills, including time management, goal setting, and understanding how to meet objectives.
  • Forklift Operation, including proficiency in operating electric and gas-powered models.
  • Inventory Management, including accurate tracking and management of inventory.
  • Material Handling, including safe and efficient handling of materials.
  • Safety Compliance, including adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
Work Environment and Schedule:

This position is based at our Seattle, WA Warehouse and requires onsite presence for at least 5 days per week. Please note that work schedules may include weekends and holidays to accommodate seasonal business needs.

Physical Demands:

Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle packages, inventory, and material handling equipment. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, push, twist, and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Mental Activities:

Excellent at working independently and as a team member with a good work ethic, and good decision-making skills. Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, be flexible and stress resistant.

Salary Disclosure:

The typical base pay range for this role is $24.62-$35.19 per hour. Individual base pay depends on numerous factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
