Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Senior Controls Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex HVAC control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance related to low-voltage BAS controls components and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, as well as a variety of hand tools, including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.
  • Provide front-line technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers.
  • Provide system repair and/or update recommendations and assist in proposing recommendations to Johnson Controls customers.
  • Assist the sales team with the development of project scopes, including competitor site retrofits.
  • Be part of an expanding team of top technicians in the industry while building a career with a first-class global organization.
  • Grow your knowledge of the Metasys product line through continuous in-classroom, online, and job-site training.
  • Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
Requirements
  • Vocational school or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field, plus three years of industry experience, or 2+ years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence, and applications.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
  • Able to use hand, power tools, and electrical testing equipment, such as a multimeter.
  • Solid knowledge base in the use of personal computers.
  • Programming and startup knowledge of competitor control systems (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Trane) a plus but not required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
