Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Caregiver for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Assist residents with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, hygiene, toileting, and feeding.
    • Support residents in achieving their goals and aspirations, such as attending medical appointments, socializing with peers, and engaging in leisure activities.
    • Follow physician orders, including supervision of medication administration, unless trained otherwise.
    • Schedule regular medical and dental appointments as needed.
    • Implement emergency procedures in case of an emergency.
    • Participate in developing Individual Service Plans (ISPs) to meet resident goals.
    • Provide training to residents as outlined in their ISPs.
    • Maintain accurate daily notes and records, adhering to DBHDD standards.

Requirements

  • Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification.
