The Opportunity: At Phalen Leadership Academies, we seek dedicated educators who are passionate about fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students. Our teachers are committed to nurturing a culture of compassion and excellence, ensuring that every scholar develops the essential academic and social skills needed for success. As an educator at PLA, you will play a pivotal role in setting high expectations for student achievement and guiding our scholars towards meeting these goals. You will have the autonomy to create an inspiring classroom atmosphere, design and implement rigorous lesson plans, and monitor student progress through effective assessments, making adjustments as necessary to facilitate each scholar's growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all scholars achieve their growth targets in both English Language Arts and Mathematics.
  • Maintain a high level of student satisfaction as reflected in classroom feedback.
  • Support student retention throughout the academic year.
  • Promote consistent attendance among scholars.
  • Facilitate significant academic progress for students who are not performing at grade level.

Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to working with students and families from underserved communities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, with relevant endorsements as required.
  • A valid State Teacher License or enrollment in a credentialing program.
  • Proven pedagogical skills informed by educational standards and data-driven assessments.
  • Experience in utilizing data to inform instructional practices.
