Maintenance Supervisor Role at Cordish Living

At Cordish Living, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and upkeep across our properties.

About the Job

This role involves overseeing daily inspections of property exteriors and interiors to maintain our brand standards. You will be expected to escalate and communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner. Additionally, you will manage budgets and control spending, utilizing property management software to check for work orders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections to maintain company brand standards
  • Escalate and communicate inspection findings, resident inquiries, and other concerns to management
  • Manage P&L and control spending
  • Utilize property management software to check for work orders
  • Complete documentation in a timely and detailed manner following a completed work order request
  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair on a daily basis
  • Manage make-ready turns in a timely manner according to company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and housekeeping personnel
  • Oversee outside vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective completion of work
  • Complete all assigned repairs and projects efficiently in accordance with Company policy and procedures, and code requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance performed and any follow-up actions required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, local code, building standards & customer service skills)
  • Experience with reporting on monthly P&L statements to ownership, contract negotiation, and vendor management
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to treat sensitive/confidential information with appropriate discretion
  • Resilient and teamwork-oriented, able to multi-task and handle competing priorities
  • Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and ability to function professionally under pressure while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Proven competencies in software applications and programs, particularly Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Excellent word processing and file management skills
  • Experience with Entrata is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of office equipment and procedures, including computers, photocopiers, printers, telephone systems, etc.
