Job Summary

We seek an experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at J Luna, a 7-story multi-family building with 98 apartments located in Ballston, Virginia. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance team and ensure the overall upkeep of the community, including coordination with vendors and staff to maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cosnult with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for maintenance operations, focusing on cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and complete maintenance tasks, repairs, and renovations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance, as well as ensure that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as leasing and accounting, to ensure seamless communication and effective execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to negotiate better prices and services.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in multifamily property maintenance or a related field, preferably with supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, schedules, and personnel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift 50-100 pounds and meet the physical demands of the job, which may include climbing stairs, bending, and kneeling.

Estimated Salary Range:
