About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Specialist to join our team in Maine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students' mental health, academic success, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement support plans tailored to individual students' requirements
  • Provide individual and group counseling to help students address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges, promoting their growth and well-being
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff on mental health, behavioral interventions, and special education needs, enhancing their skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and document student progress, making recommendations for further support or interventions as needed
  • Assist with crisis intervention and collaborate on school-wide mental health initiatives, ensuring a supportive environment for all students

Requirements:

  • A strong foundation in psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes
  • The ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families, fostering a positive and inclusive community
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not essential; a passion for education and student support is key
  • A compassionate, patient, and committed approach to supporting students' growth and well-being

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $56/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Opportunities for increased pay may arise through specialized certifications or extensive relevant experience.
