About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Home Visiting Support Specialist to join our team at Clarendon Early Education Services Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting family child care educators in their daily operations.

Job Summary

The Home Visiting Support Specialist will conduct regular visits to licensed family child care educators, providing support and guidance in areas such as business administration, professional development, and compliance with Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly business, technical assistance, and mentoring support visits to family child care educators.
  • Perform onsite meal service reviews at least three times annually.
  • Facilitate childcare referrals and enrollment in accordance with DEEC policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Training Director on professional development trainings and work directly with educators on continuous quality improvement, professional development, and program planning.
  • Provide technical assistance with DEEC policy and regulations, progress reporting, and curriculum development.
  • Maintain knowledge of current DEEC regulations through ongoing staff meetings and state-issued trainings.
  • Represent the agency in community outreach activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education/Human Services or related field. EEC teaching certification or CDA certification may be substituted with two years of equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and application of MA Department of Early Education and Care Family Child Care regulations and guidelines.
  • Candidate must have the ability to grasp, interpret, and enforce state and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • Bilingual French Creole/English is required.
  • Excellent observation and written skills in English and French Creole are necessary.
  • Prior experience with Department of Early Education and Care licensing regulations policies is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team-player is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a culturally diverse clientele are a plus.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary, and the candidate must also be comfortable learning and working with custom databases such as Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) and ChildPlus.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
