Job Summary

Summa Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Associate to join our team at the Behavioral Health Pavilion. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report patient behaviors, providing continuous care and documentation of observations and patient activity.
  • Interact with patients, families, and visitors to assist in achieving healthcare goals.
  • Support the patient care team by performing non-clinical patient care duties, such as environmental, dietary, transportation, supplies, light maintenance, and administrative/clerical tasks.
  • Respond to crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed in a behavioral health setting.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and write English, and perform basic math.
  • Direct patient experience in a behavioral health and/or medical environment preferred.
  • Must attain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Attain BLS-C certification during initial periods and maintain certification thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and collaborating with patient care team members.
  • Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa, creating a patient care environment focused on the needs and expectations of the patient.
  • Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure.
  • Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties, suggesting innovative ideas and providing feedback on a team's direction.
Compensation

$16.71/hr - $20.05/hr

The salary range on this job posting is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
