Sheet Metal Bench Operator - 2nd Shift

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Summary: We're seeking skilled Sheet Metal Bench Operators to fabricate, straighten, and adjust detail parts and assemblies using various equipment and tools. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in meeting our commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate Press Brakes, Single Stroke punch presses, drill machines, saws, notchers, grinders, and hand tools to fabricate parts as per drawings and work instructions.
  • Monitor machine operation and measure parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Notify supervisor of any non-conforming parts and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform tasks in different areas of the shop as directed by supervision.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area following 5S principles.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient interpretation of drawings and work orders.
  • Near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes (corrected).
  • Manual dexterity to handle small parts and measuring equipment simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and occasional chemicals.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Forklift operation may be required.
