Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide shop personnel in fabrication, machining, and valve automation processes.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to allocate tasks effectively, ensuring alignment with production goals and schedules.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to production workflows to boost efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee that all fabricated components meet established standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their skills and adherence to safety practices.
  • Set and communicate departmental objectives, outlining strategies for achievement.
  • Assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
  • Conduct detailed planning and calculations for complex projects.
  • Accurately complete daily reports and manage scheduling updates using relevant tools.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance for machinery and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Facilitate communication with management and other departments as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in HDPE fabrication or assembly is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fabrication processes.
  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Goal-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery, Water Jet, Fusion Equipment, AutoCAD, and other relevant software is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise, heat, and fumes may occur.
  • Physical capability to manipulate tools and assemble components, requiring fine and gross motor skills.
  • Ability to lift weights exceeding 40 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
