Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Supervisor to lead our fabrication team at Floworks International LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our shop, ensuring that our products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, and meeting our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of fabrication, machinist, and valve automation employees to achieve department objectives.
  • Production Planning: Collaborate with the planner to assign work to shop personnel, utilizing knowledge of production processes, company policies, production schedules, work schedules, work orders, equipment capacity, and employee capabilities.
  • Quality Control: Establish and control procedures to ensure production of conforming fabricated assembly components meets quality standards and production schedules.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, job skills, and safety practices.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate shop employee performance, accountability, and provide objective feedback for continued employee growth.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete daily reports, timecards, and scheduling updates using given tools and technology platforms.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Manage mechanics preventive maintenance of machines, schedule vehicle repairs, maintenance, and ensure driver DOT compliance.
  • Communication: Coordinate and communicate with Manager and other applicable departments.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Proven leadership and mentoring skills to motivate and develop team members.
  • Production Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in fabrication, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work safely.
  • Preferred Qualifications: HDPE fabrication and/or assembly experience, experience with CNC, Water Jet, Fusion Equipment, AutoCAD, Bob Cad, other fabrication software, and/or scheduling software.

Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to manipulate tools and assemble components involving fine and gross motor skills sufficient to demonstrate welding job tasks, ability to lift 40+ pounds, sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, minimal travel may be required.
