We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer to join our team at Omni Vision Inc. as an Image Sensor Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance image sensors for various applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop characterization/testing plans for image sensors, working closely with R&D teams and manufacturing engineers to resolve technical issues and meet performance requirements.
- Participate in product definition and provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) inputs to ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes.
- Collaborate with silicon foundry, imager characterization, and pixel design teams to improve all silicon process, color, and package issues.
- Analyze yield and drive corrective actions to improve product yield and performance through process optimization and layout design updates.
- Develop and finalize product datasheets through characterization and testing.
- Work with pixel design groups to design sophisticated and optimized pixel layouts.
- Collaborate with characterization teams to analyze and debug pixel device circuits and image-related issues.
- Ramp up image sensors and ASIC devices for production.
- Coordinate with company fab to drive semiconductor processing tool vendors to optimize processes.
- Set up new tape-out product process flows, inline handbooks, and JDV checks.
- Work with testing engineers to develop, verify, and release testing programs at CP or FT.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in Process Integration Engineering with expertise in:
- Process development, PDK preparation, pilot run planning, and device characterization for High Voltage (HV) platforms and CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) platforms.
- Design rule check, mask rule check, and job deck view for mask tape-out.
- Expertise in device performance and yield analysis using analytical software ACE-XP and Exensio.
- Knowledge of semiconductor MOSFET devices and manufacturing processes.
- Quality documentation preparation covering process specifications for wafer acceptance test, control plan, and FMEA.
- Manufacturing troubleshooting and inline monitoring for products in pilot run and mass production stages.
- Experience in ramping up products from tape-out to mass production stages.
The annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $135,000 - $145,600. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant skills and experience, as well as the pay of employees in similar roles.
