Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Novant Health. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, decontaminate, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate automatic scope washers and ultrasonic cleaners to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Supply Management: Store endoscopes in proper receptacles and maintain sterility of supplies and equipment.
  • Transportation: Transport patients safely and efficiently to and from procedures.
  • Assistance: Assist with direct patient care and procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Quality Control: Check endoscopic equipment for damages and report promptly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Licensure: None. Maintains CPR annually.
  • Experience: None.
  • Skills: Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
