Job Summary

Wilmington Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to strict sterile technique protocols.
  • Assist physicians and other medical staff during endoscopy procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of care.
  • Operate and maintain endoscopic equipment, including scopes, cameras, and recorders.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, allergies, and test results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest endoscopy techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; surgical technician course or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room or endoscopy setting; ASC experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in an operating room or endoscopy setting.
  • ASC experience.
