About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Dow's Sabine River Operations site in Orange, TX. As a key member of our Packaging & Specialty Plastics business, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and availability of our High Pressure Copolymers production line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement equipment reliability strategies to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify and resolve reliability issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement predictive maintenance programs, and ensure the effective use of reliability engineering tools and techniques.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance personnel on troubleshooting and repair of equipment, and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Lead the development and implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs, and ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy, and ensure that all maintenance activities are properly planned, executed, and documented.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement, and develop and implement plans to address these opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, tools, and techniques, including RCM, FMEA, and Weibull analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in reliability engineering, such as CMRP or CRE.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
