Job Summary:The Overnight Staff will be responsible for implementing the Customized Support Plan for individuals supported during the overnight shift. This includes ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, providing emergent medical care, and maintaining the overall health and well-being of the individuals supported.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the Customized Support Plan for individuals supported during the overnight shift.

- Remain occupied with tasks that further the needs and goals of the house team and the individuals supported during the overnight shift.
- Encourage and honor each person to be the decision maker in their life.
- Interact with each person with an understanding that they are capable and competent.
- Encourage rather than direct each individual supported.
- Perform all job duties with the understanding that what is most important is that which is important to the individual supported.
- Recognize and act upon non-verbal feedback provided by the individual supported.
- Alter the interaction/approach being used with the individual in the moment based upon the person's verbal or non-verbal communication and assist in deescalating situations.
- Listen to the individual supported and follow their lead. Avoid debating, arguing, advising especially during a crisis or situation which may become a crisis.
- Seek feedback from the individual supported to ensure they feel heard and supported.
- Acknowledge mistakes and apologize to each person, if warranted, thus accepting joint ownership of the relationship.
- Implement each support plan as written, particularly acknowledging a person's feelings and responding in a way that helps to meet each person's goals and needs, without trying to change the person or their behavior.
- Fully participate in all debriefing sessions which occur following an incident.
- Following debriefing sessions, accept feedback from each person involved and respond promptly and positively to feedback.
- Seek tasks that further the needs and goals of the individual supported and the house team when not directly engaged with the individual supported during the overnight shift.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dignity, and respect towards individuals supported, co-workers, management, and other associates both within the organization and outside the company.
- Serve as a constant positive role model with the individual supported, team members, co-workers, management, and others both within the organization and outside the company.
- Assist in planning community and in-home activities that are of interest to and meaningful for the individual supported.
- Seek feedback from the supervisory and clinical staff to ensure their interactions are in accordance with the agency philosophy and needs of the individual supported.
- Report any questions or concerns regarding individual supported, co-workers or the organization directly to the program supervisor.
- Participate, conduct, and document fire drills and fire equipment checks as scheduled or required.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the home or property, which may include but not be limited to housekeeping, minor household repair, yard care, trash removal, laundry, and general upkeep, in a manner consistent with InVision Human Services standards and all regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Accurately document the results of medical appointments, medical procedures, cancellation or refusal of appointments, and communicate status to the team.
- Actively and appropriately respond to and report emergency situations, including utilizing the emergency on-call system if required.
- Accurately dispense and document the administration of medication in accordance with the PA State Medication Administration Program.
- Comply with all InVision Human Services policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Correctly and accurately complete and submit by stated deadline, InVision Human Services required documents such as timesheets, expense reports, and progress notes.
- Submit required information such as physical examinations, vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration to supervisory or administrative staff as requested by stated deadlines.
- Adhere to schedule for arrival time, scheduled appointments, and other company-related meetings.
- Independently track and complete company required training within designated timeframes.
- Actively participate with company-owned vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed during scheduled shift, if applicable.
- Utilize computer equipment and programs to provide for efficient and effective communication and work flow.
- Participate in house meetings and all-staff meetings and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Complete all required daily documentation, including the daily note, thereby ensuring service provision aligns with ISP outcomes.
- Meet with program supervisor regularly or as requested for supervision and/or employee development.
- Transport the individual supported to community-based activities and appointments.
- Responsible for meal preparation, if required by individual supported.
- Provide full documentation of all expenditures made on behalf of the company in the form of petty cash, personal expense reimbursements, or other related disbursements.
- Makes all programmatic expenditures within amounts approved by immediate supervisor or appropriate management personnel.
- Report immediately any discrepancies related to the use of personal or company funds.
- Appropriately use, document, and review all transactions related to funds belonging to the individual supported.
- Perform other job-related tasks, duties, and responsibilities from time to time as requested by Program Supervisor and/or Manager.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma/GED. One year working with individuals with mental health/developmental disabilities or in a related human service capacity preferred. Experience with residential and/or vocational service provision a plus. Associates Degree or Bachelor's of Science or Arts in related field preferred; prior knowledge of 6400 regulations a plus. Demonstrates interest in professional growth by reading industry-related information and participating in educational opportunities. Masters Degree may be substituted for experience.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
- Maintain training compliance as defined in all pertinent regulations.
- Ability to comprehend and utilize electronic medium and various computer programs.
- Availability during scheduled licensing and monitoring.
- Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical concepts.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Additional Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain level of vigilance as described in Customized Support Plan.
- Ability to wake and respond to clients during overnight hours as needed.
- Ability to respond quickly to security system warnings.
- Ability to remain in close physical proximity of individual supported as defined in plan for supervision.
