Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project work element plans and JSAs
  • Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors
  • Computer Aided Drafting for analysis of lift equipment capabilities and depiction of work method sequencing
  • Critical path scheduling and 3 week look ahead scheduling
  • Review designs, drawings, and engineering data prepared by Manson consultants and vendors for conformance with project plans and specifications, and identify associated conflicts
  • Investigation and research for needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools
  • Inspection of newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements
  • Coordinate project activities with the client's representatives and other project stakeholders

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering (Civil, Coastal, Ocean or Mechanical) or Construction Management, from a four-year college or university and 5 years' experience required
  • Marine Construction Industry experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
Work Environment

Position is primarily a field position, and will require travel, including visits and monitoring of construction job sites. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal flotation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc.). The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures. The noise level is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
