Theoria Medical is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care to patients in skilled nursing facilities. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations of our facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care, and collaborating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee medical operations in skilled nursing facilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.
- Document patient care in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system, ChartEasyTM.
- Participate in Theoria's Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives and programs.
- Supervise collaborating nurse practitioners and physicians assistants.
- Utilize electronic/online medical tools, such as EHR systems and state/county medical systems utilized for Death Certificates and administrative functions.
- Medical licensure in good standing.
- Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
- Experience in medical leadership and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
