Night Auditor

The Night Auditor is responsible for auditing daily revenues for accuracy, providing world-class service to all guests, and exemplifying the Hotel's Culture.

• Audit and balance room and tax charges, cashier's reports, and guest accounts for accuracy.
• Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
• Prepare customer tracking reports, market segmentation reports, food and beverage revenue reports, and other auditing reports necessary to ensure the accurate accounting of hotel revenues and expenses.
• Perform guest departure (check-out) procedures to close guests' accounts and ensure accuracy on the folio.
• Correct any problems that may have been added to the folio to ensure a satisfied guest at check-out.
• Regularly calculate and/or post monies, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit using accurate, proper cash handling methods.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations, both in person and by telephone, by communicating hotel rates and information using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy, and revenue.
• Maintain good customer relations by answering questions and taking care of customer concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner, in person and on the phone.
• Operate the telephone equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting in-house calls to get to the correct department in a timely manner, scheduling and setting wake-up calls, and setting trace requests to provide guests with timely and efficient service.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Perform the shift checklist to ensure accuracy of all aspects of the shift.
• Serve as a cashier and attendant for the market as needed.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Communicate with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Convey company information, decisions, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
• Act as Manager on Duty.
• Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
• Previous customer service or hotel experience required, with Hilton experience helpful.
• Friendly demeanor and excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Prior computer experience using windows-based software preferred.

The Night Auditor will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, and using a computer keyboard, printer, phones, and basic office supplies.

The Night Auditor must be physically and visually able to utilize a computer keyboard, printer, phones, and basic office supplies, and be able to lift supplies occasionally, usually not more than 25 lbs. but may be up to 50 lbs.

The Night Auditor must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time through the work day, and reach, push, pull, twist of body at the waist, and bend are required.
