Position Overview:

Role Summary

This role is pivotal in generating and analyzing reports and insights that support essential Treasury functions, encompassing interest rate, capital, and liquidity risk management, funds transfer pricing, funding and capital markets operations, cash management, and various reporting responsibilities. You will be accountable for liquidity stress testing and conducting analyses and modeling that bolster Liquidity Management processes. The role also involves identifying and implementing technological advancements to automate these tasks while pursuing continuous improvement through enhanced analytical insights. You will actively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues in your daily responsibilities to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to comprehensive reporting functions and develop strategic communications for a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates that empower leaders to manage risks effectively.
  • Perform diverse analyses that support all fundamental Treasury operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency of data and assumptions utilized in modeling balance sheet activities while implementing necessary controls.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and stay updated with best practices to manage changes effectively. Articulate and manage strategic objectives.
  • Enhance your technology and data analysis skills, serving as a key resource for fellow Treasury analysts by sharing and promoting best practices. Support Corporate Treasury's technology initiatives aimed at automating routine tasks and optimizing workflows.
Essential Qualifications

To be considered, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Financial Analysis or Banking/Financial Services, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, 6+ years of experience in Financial Analysis or Banking/Financial Services in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications

In an ideal scenario, we would also appreciate:
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in relevant roles, particularly with programming languages (Python or similar, SQL), statistical software (Stata, R, or similar), ALM software (QRM or similar), and web development languages (HTML, CSS, etc.); familiarity with Linux/Unix is also advantageous.


Compensation and Benefits:
Discover offers a competitive compensation package, with base pay typically ranging from $75,500 to $127,000, complemented by additional incentives. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the pay for this position.
