Job DescriptionWe seek a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity in pediatric patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals working with clients and referring clients to specialists when necessary
- Performing initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice and state standards
- Developing treatment plans for each client based on initial and ongoing evaluations, collaborating with other team members, and required patient and caregiver involvement
- Documenting client progress according to approved medical documentation and agency documentation procedures
You will work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal physical function and enhance the quality of life for children facing various diagnoses and health challenges.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and implementing these plans safely and effectively
- Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques
- Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment and best practices for equipment
- Experience with recommending assistive equipment to clients or home health follow-up programs
- A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT, and the ability to motivate patients to push their limits in a responsible, safe way
Qualifying candidates will possess a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and current licensure in the state of operation.
