About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Specialist to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. As an HVAC Specialist, you will be responsible for performing senior-level troubleshooting, service, and maintenance on Controlled Temperature Units (CTU), HVAC systems, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform senior-level troubleshooting, service, and maintenance on CTU, HVAC systems, and other related equipment.
  • Operate and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including hot water and steam systems, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including piping and controls.
  • Work from CAD drawings, prints, schematics, sketches, or verbal instructions to complete tasks.
  • Adapt and install specialized cooling and heating devices for specific requirements.
  • Perform installation and replacement of relevant HVAC system components.
  • Perform work on non-HVAC building systems, including FLS, doors, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Maintain good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant requests.
  • Analyze system operations, determine causes of problems, and take corrective action as required.
  • Work independently on complicated tasks and assist other mechanics and operators with major maintenance and repairs.
  • Contribute to refrigeration management and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist facility managers with vendor and project management responsibilities.
  • Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with customers, contractors, and team members.
  • Act as a team member with all employees of the management staff.
  • Comply with all written company policies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with vocational or technical school certification courses in Physics and Refrigeration theory, refrigeration practice, electrical theory and practice, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
  • 2 years of experience working as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic in an industrial or research environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in refrigeration and HVAC practices at a journeyman level.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Refrigeration universal license for handling of refrigerants.
  • Proficiency in the usage of all hand and power tools, test instruments, and other similar equipment.
  • Ability to perform work outside of the trade, including painting, light bulb replacement, installation of pipe, plumbing, and other maintenance-related tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, work alone, or with other trades outside of your own individual trade.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a GMP environment.
  • 2+ years of validated CMMS experience (Maximo is a plus).
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System).
Work Schedule
  • Monday - Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
