  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor the plant's key performance indicators (KPIs), using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Manage plant budgets, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and resource allocation.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure the plant meets all regulatory requirements related to safety, health, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Advanced degrees preferred (Master's, Ph.D., or MBA).
  • Experience: 10+ years of plant manufacturing experience, particularly in the chemical or specialty chemicals industry. Proven leadership experience within a chemical plant or similar manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of batch manufacturing processes and their unique challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of chemical engineering principles and plant operations, including process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Proficiency in using plant management software and tools.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with life sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Previous involvement in successful plant expansions or major process improvements.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations specific to the chemical manufacturing industry.
