Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Marine Corps Community Services. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling retail food items, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a mobile canteen unit and sell a variety of fast-food items and limited retail items such as cigarettes, gum, and candy.
• Stock food service canteen truck with food and beverages, drive to various locations, and follow established schedules and routes.
• Observe safety and traffic requirements and regulations, operate a motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds (if qualified).
• Prepare requisitions for supplies, equipment, and daily resale and consumable items, maintain inventory and operating records, and required reports.
• Serve customers, collect money, make change, and be responsible for own change fund, prepare Daily Salesperson's Cash Report.
• Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy, assist customers, communicate positively in a friendly manner, acknowledge customers, smile, and make eye contact.
• Adhere to safety regulations and standards, use required safety equipment, observe safe work procedures, promptly report any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of one year of experience in selling retail food items, business mathematics, and cash handling. A valid driver's license is required. Incumbent is subject to drafts, noise, and varying temperatures, exposed to weather and temperature extremes outside, lifts and carries up to 40lbs independently and objects over 40lbs with assistance.
