About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Canteen Operations Specialist. As a Canteen Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a mobile canteen unit, selling a variety of fast-food items and retail items, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile canteen unit and sell a variety of fast-food items and retail items such as cigarettes, gum, and candy.
• Stock food service canteen truck with food and beverages.
• Drive to various locations, according to a previously established schedule and route, ensuring that prescribed routes are followed and that scheduled stops are made on a timely basis.
• Observe safety and traffic requirements and regulations.
• Maintain inventory and operating records and required reports.
• Serve customers, collect money, make change, and be responsible for own change fund.
• Prepare Daily Salesperson's Cash Report.
• Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.
• Assist customers and communicate positively in a friendly manner.
• Acknowledge customers, smile, and make eye contact.
• Ask questions to determine, verify, and solve problems.
• Maintain quality assurance of goods and services.
• Takes action to solve problems quickly.
• Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates experience in selling retail food items, business mathematics, and cash handling.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• The incumbent is subject to drafts, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Exposed to weather and temperature extremes outside.
• Lifts and carries up to 40lbs independently and objects over 40lbs with assistance.

About Us

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
