We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Van Elslander Cancer Center. As a Mobile Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to patients in various locations throughout Wayne, Macomb, and southeastern Oakland county.
Responsibilities- Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting anatomic and technical parameters as needed.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate film for technical quality, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers.
- One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
