Your Role: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Pediatric Primary Care Clinic, you will provide essential care to our young patients, including IV therapy, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will also guide and support ancillary nursing personnel and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Nursing Process effectively in patient care delivery through thorough data collection, strategic planning, and evaluation.
- Deliver care tailored to the physical, psycho/social, educational, and safety needs of pediatric patients.
- Engage professionally with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a quality healthcare experience.
- Adapt positively to the dynamic demands of the unit throughout your shift.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain necessary clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience in handling confidential information and thriving in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
Certifications: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Louisiana from an accredited institution and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred: IV Therapy Credentials.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong judgment and interpersonal skills.
- Effective delegation capabilities.
