Spurwink Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our multidisciplinary team in a residential program serving adults with mental health and substance use needs in Portland. This is a full-time year-round position providing individual, group, and family counseling to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use needs.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Review, screen, and process new client admissions in collaboration with the Program Director and Medication Room Manager.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Associate Director in running team meetings.
- Clinical Oversight: Oversee the clinical care of clients.
- Treatment Planning: Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
- Group Facilitation: Facilitate groups.
- Professional Development: Many opportunities to learn multiple treatment modalities (ACT, DBT, NVC, MI, and CPT).
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited school.
- Licensure: Clinical licensure of: LMSW-CC, LCSW, LCPC-C, LCSW.
- Certification: Maine state alcohol and drug counselor certification preferred.
- Experience: 1- 2 years of relevant work experience preferred (i.e., mental health, social services).
