  • Background in managing government projects with established engineering baselines.
  • Intermediate understanding of cybersecurity principles, including prevalent threats to IT infrastructures and enterprise IT frameworks, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage).
  • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of cyber range tools, including deployment automation, configuration automation, monitoring, and traffic generation.
  • Strong communication abilities; capable of effectively conveying project progress, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating program risks, and articulating technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in computer science, computer and information sciences, engineering, mathematics, information systems management, cybersecurity, or a related field, with corresponding experience and demonstrated expertise in relevant computer science subjects.
  • 6-12+ years of proven, relevant experience.
  • Understanding of computer and information networks, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communication networks.
  • Familiarity with storage area network (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) technologies and alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge of complex enterprise infrastructures that include various operating systems and services such as Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.
  • Awareness of cyber warfare and cyber training capabilities and tools.
  • Familiarity with software and network instrumentation and visualization tools.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language model technologies.
  • Experience in designing multi-level security (MLS) systems.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

This position necessitates U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level. Dual citizenship is not permitted.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees system requirements and translates them into cohesive solutions that consider design, technology maturity, cost, and scheduling constraints.
  • Engages in the planning, direction, and coordination of all program system engineering and architectural initiatives.
  • Maintains the program's system architecture documentation and develops architectural models for ongoing and future system development.

  • Supports the program's strategic roadmap for future technology explorations and capability evaluations, advising the government on new technologies, trade studies, alternative analyses, and technology assessments.
  • Advises management and clients on operations, research studies, technology assessments, scheduling, and budgetary requirements.
  • Facilitates critical system design decisions and reviews.
  • Provides insights on design enhancements for cyber tools, software, or hardware within the enterprise.
