We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to join our team at Standlee Premium Western Forage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing plant, ensuring that we meet our production targets while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Management: Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
- Financial Management: Support the Plant Manager to develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
- Staff Supervision: Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and marketing activities of industrial organization. Train, evaluate, and manage staff assigned to shifts.
- Quality Control: Maintain current knowledge of the quality control specifications, relying on SPWF Product Specifications and SOP's pertaining to materials use, technological advances, and statistical studies.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and maintain production work orders and reports. Review operations and confer with maintenance staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Inventory Management: Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Product Standards: Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with Distribution Center staff to coordinate transfer of finished products to the DC inventory.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce best practice safety measures to ensure the safest working conditions possible.
- Education: High School Diploma, associate degree in related field.
- Experience: Three to five years' experience in manufacturing environment with management responsibilities.
- Skills: Production and Processing, Administration and Management, Mathematics, Education and Training, Mechanical.
