Job Description: As a Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist at Parkview Health, you will provide exceptional care to critically ill infants and pediatric patients. You will demonstrate expertise in therapeutic procedures, serve as an adjunct clinical instructor for students and new colleagues, and maintain a high level of proficiency in technology used to treat this population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care to critically ill infants and pediatric patients
- Demonstrate and maintain competency in all therapeutic procedures
- Serve as an adjunct clinical instructor for affiliate students and orientees
- Maintain a high level of expertise in technology required to treat this patient population
- Contribute to the growth and development of respiratory care procedures in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care arena
- Participate in charge roles and serve as a leader for coworkers by providing education, sharing knowledge, and serving as a resource
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program
- Must have successfully completed the Registered Respiratory Therapist and Perinatal Specialist Exam (NPS Credential) administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- New hires must obtain the NPS Credential within one year of date of hire
- Must have current certification in CPR
- Must have NRP, Stable, ACLS, and PALS Certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire or transfer
- Prefer minimum of 1 year NICU and Pediatric ICU experience
Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,500, based on industry standards and location. Salary may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to maintain active air and ground transport capability
