Interior Designer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team at Kaage Homes Interior Design & Development. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior designers to develop design concepts for high-end residential spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design team to develop design concepts for high-end residential spaces
• Participate in design meetings and provide input on FF&E selections, furniture layouts, and other design elements
• Attend site visits and client meetings to record site analysis, record meeting notes, and take dimensions as needed
• Prepare client presentations including moodboards and FF&E proposals
• Utilize AutoCAD to produce detailed plans, elevations, and specification drawings
• Utilize Sketchup & Enscape to develop interior and exterior renderings and digital walkthroughs
• Perform quality control on one's own work as well as on work of the rest of the team members to ensure drawings are accurately reflecting company designs
• Assist principal and senior designers with administrative tasks as needed
• Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with vendors and clients
• Use client-facing software (Gather) to organize and propose FFE selections for approval
• Source custom furniture pieces for high-end residential projects and collaborate with senior designers in designing custom pieces
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers

Requirements:

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from an accredited university
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, & Enscape
• Proficient in Adobe Creative suite
• Located in the Chicago area with the ability to commute to Winnetka, IL and surrounding suburbs
• Self-motivated, organized, attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time ensuring all deadlines are met and all deliverables are of the highest quality
• Able to adhere to company design aesthetic and graphic presentation standards
• Design Portfolio required for application to be considered
