Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately collect and input patient demographic and financial information, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement, as well as prior balances.
  • Perform financial assessments to identify patients eligible for program assistance, promoting access to care for those in need.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and third-party payers, ensuring clear understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner at all times, upholding the highest standards of customer service.
  • Support the flexible needs of the department, adapting to changing patient volumes and workflow requirements.
  • Collaborate with High Performance Work Teams (HPWT) to maintain an efficient, clean, and orderly workplace, adhering to 5S principles and practices.
  • Provide feedback to the team to identify educational needs and areas for improvement, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Requirements
