Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Salina, KS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
