Job Summary

The Pharmacy Department Leader will oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy department within a retail store. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, building profitable business and script growth, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs, including immunization and medication therapy management.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the Pharmacy department, including inventory management and customer service.
  • Counsel customers with regard to medications filled at the pharmacy and handle customer issues and complaints.
  • Provide leadership and development for associates, including communicating career opportunities and providing regular performance feedback.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient Pharmacy department, including security and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy, and Immunization Certification through an accredited organization.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a licensed Pharmacist in a retail environment.
  • Valid Pharmacist License in the state practicing pharmacy and valid Immunization Certification.
