About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicing Technician to join our team at ADB Companies Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with various underground, aerial, and ISP fiber splicing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic level jobsite preparation for various underground, aerial, and ISP fiber placement splicing projects
  • Prep fiber optic cables for a diverse number of splicing projects
  • Operate an assortment of hand tools, including diagonal cutters, razor blades, and ribbon splitters
  • Read and interpret entry-level construction prints and drawings
  • Perform maintenance on various splicing equipment
  • Ability to single splice and follow cable color codes
  • Ensure safety requirements are being followed at all times
  • Safely operate company vehicles and construction equipment as needed and directed by leadership
Requirements
  • 0-1+ year of experience performing or assisting with fiber optic splicing projects
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and climbing
  • Must be able to wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots
