The Front of House Lead plays a crucial role in assisting the management team to deliver exceptional guest service that consistently exceeds expectations. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a variety of responsibilities including guest engagement, order management, and hands-on service. It serves as a stepping stone towards our Management Training program, providing a valuable opportunity to learn the business and advance your career.

Upon joining our team, you will receive training focused on delivering friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to our guests. You will gain exposure to various roles within the establishment and will be expected to understand our service standards in order to coach and support your colleagues during shifts. Your contribution will be vital in fostering a collaborative service environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Valid Food Handler Card.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain focus under pressure.
  • Ability to promote menu items and beverages effectively.
  • Capable of handling guest complaints with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of front of house operations.
  • Experience with food service equipment and point-of-sale systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned opening duties to established standards.
  • Accurately document necessary information and messages.
  • Seat guests promptly and courteously, accommodating special requests.
  • Ensure smooth transfer of guest checks between staff.
  • Proactively anticipate and respond to guest needs.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with guests and team members.
  • Resolve guest complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Follow instructions from management.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of guest areas.
  • Guide and support team members to optimize guest service.
  • Complete closing reports and communicate with management.
  • Document orders clearly when the point-of-sale system is down.
  • Manage comp's or voids as necessary during shifts.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and maintenance programs.
  • Update menus and wine lists as needed.
  • Communicate any relevant information to management regarding shift activities.
