Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Supervisor to oversee a dedicated team of technicians and engineers. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of control systems across multiple utility plants, as well as managing instrumentation and final control elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of I&C technicians, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Monitor team performance through established goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Provide expert technical support to operations, ensuring optimal functionality of control systems.
  • Assist in the integration of new equipment into existing control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Manage procurement of materials necessary for daily operations and small projects.
  • Identify and execute cost-effective projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of metering infrastructure to ensure accurate billing processes.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and track key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control systems.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a utility or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Experience with distributed control systems and their operational requirements.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead diverse teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial utility systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

This position involves a mix of office and industrial settings, requiring fieldwork in various weather conditions. Candidates should be prepared for physical demands, including climbing and operating machinery.
