Position Overview Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, biosystems, or agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license for South Carolina, or the ability to obtain it
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience in the water/wastewater sector.
  • Familiarity with biological and hydraulic modeling software is preferred
Responsibilities include:
  • Designing processes for water and wastewater treatment.
  • Developing design criteria based on water and wastewater process modeling data.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and implementing water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Conducting hydraulic analyses of treatment facilities.
  • Designing chemical storage, feed, and blower systems.
  • Producing P&ID drawings and preparing specifications and contract documents.
  • Overseeing construction projects and the creation of construction drawings and 3D models.
  • Performing quality reviews and occasionally traveling for site assessments and construction support.
