Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Mac Papers + Packaging. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of packaging and industrial equipment, providing professional and technically competent customer service experience and support of our products and services during field visits or dispatches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair packaging and industrial equipment.
  • Install and provide training to customers on the operation of their packaging equipment.
  • Perform repairs at customer locations in a professional manner.
  • Check service schedules daily and tie workflow to schedule.
  • Track service calls, complete service orders, and enter information.
  • Complete in-house repairs and order parts as needed.
  • Maintain company equipment and tools.
  • Attend training classes as required.
  • Operate service vehicles safely and keep them clean.
  • Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
  • Professional and proper use of common hand tools.
  • Experience in professional packaging equipment repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment control wiring.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
  • PLC experience is a plus.
  • Follow established company procedures and protocols.
  • Cooperate and share information with technical teams.
  • Proven field service experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and with a team.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull/leverage up to 75 lbs.

Mental Demands

  • Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Work Environment

  • Employee works in a variety of environments: Warehouse / Manufacturing / Production Floor.
  • Noise level will fluctuate based on work environment.
