Position Overview:

Corporate Income Tax Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multi-state PL elections and adjust for economic presence changes in collaboration with Directors and tax consultants.
  • Calculate current and deferred income tax provisions, prepare journal entries, and reconcile tax payables while working closely with Finance for year-end balances and reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules; integrate tax schedules into financial systems.
  • Maintain US Consolidation, investment, and equity roll-forwards, ensuring accurate recording of changes in capital or dividends.
  • Review Form 1099s for accuracy and ensure timely filing.
  • Annually update Transfer Pricing Information, prepare Form 5472 and 263A UNICAP calculations.
  • Manage federal and state income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and audits.
  • Update Accumulated Earnings and Profits (E&P) for dividends.

State Sales Tax and Reporting Duties:

  • Monitor changes in state tax regulations and product profiles, running and reviewing tax reports to resolve inconsistencies with software providers.
  • Participate in monthly industry calls with tax experts to stay informed about remote sales regulations.
  • Review state and sales tax returns on a monthly basis.
  • Handle annual Tangible Personal Property Tax Reporting.
  • Stay informed on technological and regulatory changes to enhance compliance and innovation.

Qualifications for Senior Tax Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience in both public and private sectors
    • Minimum of 5 years at a medium to large firm with US distribution experience within the last 5 years
  • Proficient in sales & use tax and corporate tax
  • Experience in Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail, or Tobacco industries is advantageous

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000
