This role is part of the Vermont Veterans Outreach Program, which aims to identify and support veterans in need of assistance. The successful candidate will work closely with the program team to promote awareness of new dental services for veterans and provide guidance on accessing these services.
Key Responsibilities- Promote awareness of new dental services for veterans and advise individuals on how to access these services.
- Evaluate needs, identify relevant resources, and connect veterans with those resources.
- Establish and maintain case records for each veteran, noting specific concerns, support provided, and progress on previous requests.
- Assist veterans in navigating Veterans Health Administration and Veterans Benefits Administration processes.
- Serve as a VA benefits/healthcare subject matter expert and provide information and referrals to veterans.
- Identify statewide community events to network with veterans and maintain VVO group forums on social media platforms.
- High school diploma and demonstrated practical experience in the area(s) of expertise required by the technical specifications.
- Demonstrated capability in program/project coordination applications with three years' experience.
- Demonstrated experience with military family benefits and familiarity with military family challenges is highly desired.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the following programs: Family Readiness Program (AR/NGB), Suicide Prevention and Awareness Programs, Resiliency programs, and Sexual Harassment Assault Response and Prevention Programs.
