Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Technician to join our team at N-K Manufacturing Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities and employees of assigned work areas/machines under the direct supervision of the shift supervisor, in association with the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage assigned work areas and injection molding machine operators by providing direction, coordinating operator activities, and assigning work duties.
  • Process Verification: Verify work area set-up is correct prior to start of manufacture, and ensure that all process setup and startup of jobs are completed accurately.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Troubleshoot and make process changes to ensure acceptable product is manufactured, and review all process changes outside of documented process parameters with shift supervisor for final approval.
  • Production Management: Complete production orders for assigned areas on time, with direction from shift supervisor, and assist in problem-solving and corrective actions for customer-generated or internal corrective actions.
  • Tooling and Maintenance: Issue tooling and maintenance work orders in Plex, and communicate with Tooling Engineer the need for documented molding profiles and/or necessary changes to existing mold profiles.
  • Performance Improvement: Improve cycle times, reduce scrap and downtime, and set up operator breaks schedules and assist with giving breaks.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform first and last shot inspections, including controlling and maintaining these samples as required, and assure proper identification of all materials, including manufactured products, hoppers, grinders, and material containers.
  • 5S Standards: Manage 5S standards, and complete written shift report when supervisor is not present.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Complete any assigned and related duties as directed by management.
