Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 3 to 5 Android developers to ensure the delivery of robust and efficient applications.
  • Leverage expertise in mobile application development on the Android platform to improve user satisfaction.
  • Engage with clients, designers, and UX specialists to devise solutions for complex challenges.
  • Offer mentorship to junior developers and provide direction to development teams while establishing project standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to guarantee the timely delivery of high-quality products and applications.
  • Embrace strategic risks, learn from experiences, and apply insights to future projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams, including Design, Backend, and Front-end.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Mobile Application Development utilizing Java-based Android (Native).
  • Strong understanding of the Android build process and experience with library-based projects/Android Studio.
  • Expertise in UI development Android components such as Databases, Services, Content Providers, RESTful Web Services, JSON/XML parsing, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Design Patterns, n-tier Architecture, and Multi-Threading.
  • Familiarity with Java and Gradle scripting.
  • Proven track record in establishing best practices, software principles, and code design methodologies.
  • Experience in Agile software development and supporting rapid iterations.
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile development design patterns, frameworks, and libraries.
  • Proficiency in continuous integration and unit testing frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, understand requirements, and manage expectations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of RESTful services and service-oriented architecture.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, well-structured, and adaptable mobile applications.
  • A strong emphasis on code quality and craftsmanship.
  • Prior experience in developing mobile applications within a retail or customer loyalty context is a plus.
