Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with personnel to document the department's vision, project scope, and financial budgeting by comparing actuals against budget.
- Gather requirements for assignments, initiatives, or projects through interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and various viewpoints.
- Engage in departmental meetings to prioritize projects and initiatives.
- Input, manipulate, and report specific data according to established templates, utilizing Key Metrics.
- Support the management of information aligned with tracking projects for Operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation operations, project management techniques, and financial budget review within a transit environment, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Familiarity with contemporary requirements, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices, with the ability to apply them effectively; knowledge of requirements engineering resources is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, senior management, Board members, regulatory authorities, and the public.
- High level of analytical and creative skills, capable of finding solutions to moderately complex interpersonal, technical, and administrative issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in writing basic SQL queries to analyze large datasets.
- Capability to work independently and navigate complex problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to create presentations for Staff and Board of Directors.
- Proven self-starter, responsive to organizational needs, committed to excellence, and focused on balancing risk and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with public agencies, preferably in coordination of shipping services.
