Crisis Outreach Professional Job Description

Comprehensive Healthcare is seeking a skilled Crisis Outreach Professional to join our 24-hour Acute Care team. As a Crisis Outreach Professional, you will play a critical role in providing intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to crisis calls from individuals, law enforcement, and medical facilities, assessing individuals for safety and gathering information.
  • Determine the least restrictive environment for crisis resolution and stabilization, arranging client placements for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization or detox services when necessary.
  • Communicate with Comprehensive treatment teams about clients who have had crisis contact, participating in safety planning.
  • Complete extensive clinical and legal documentation for each call taken during the workday.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Two years of prior experience providing behavioral health treatment is preferred.
  • Must be eligible for designation as a Designated Crisis Responder.
  • Must be eligible for a credential with the Dept of Health that designates Mental Health Professional status.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a safe driving record.
