Job Title: Family Support Specialist

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting families and children in our community.

Job Summary:

The Family Support Specialist will work closely with families to identify their strengths and needs, and provide support and resources to help them achieve their goals. This may include providing information and referrals to community resources, assisting with enrollment in programs, and supporting families in their efforts to improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct home visits and outreach to families to assess their needs and provide support and resources.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support families in achieving their goals.
  • Provide information and referrals to community resources, such as healthcare, education, and social services.
  • Assist with enrollment in programs, such as ECEAP, and provide support to families throughout the enrollment process.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support to families.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including family contact information, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Two years of experience working with families and children, preferably in a social services or community outreach setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid Food Handler's card.
  • Valid WA driver's license and required minimum liability insurance for WA State.
