Dietary Specialist

Aliya Health Group seeks a highly skilled Nutritionist to join our team. As a Nutritionist, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing nutrition and diet programs to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. This includes managing adherence to federal and state laws, regulatory guidelines, Joint Commission, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that dietary operations adhere to internal policies and external regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is $38,500 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience. Your role will involve ensuring clients' menu selections comply with prescribed diet orders, nutritional adequacy, age, cultural background, and religious practice. You will also write and modify menus as needed, obtain menu choices from clients, and process patient menu selections using a computerized diet office system. Additionally, you will update, monitor, and follow up on all pertinent client information, including diet order changes, food allergies, food preferences, and requests.

Your qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in food, nutrition, food service management, or a related field, as well as being a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. You must also have an Accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) by the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and a Food Handlers permit or ServeSafe certification as required by the state. Bi-lingual abilities are preferred. The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is essential.
