Our client, Motion Recruitment, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to enhance their team.
REMOTE POSITION: Candidates must be located near designated worksites for occasional meetings and team events.
***This is a 6-month Contract Position with potential for extension or conversion.***
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Cloud Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, bridging the gap between Software Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering.
Your role will focus on the core of the PlayStation Network, where you will design, build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD services at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver and maintain highly available, self-service CI/CD capabilities.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of outcomes and deliverables.
- Follow best practices in software development.
- Act as a role model for customer-focused delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.
- AWS experience is essential.
- Work effectively across organizational boundaries to enhance developer and platform capabilities.
- Drive operational excellence within the team.
- Promote agile engineering capabilities and quality engineering practices.
- Be results-oriented with a proactive approach.
- Possess the foresight and execution skills to elevate CI/CD processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Over 3 years of professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering in a high-paced environment.
- Experience in building Kubernetes clusters from scratch, preferably using EKS.
- Experience with large-scale clusters.
- Extensive AWS experience.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code automation using Terraform.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Go.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
